5 things I've learned

Hi darlings! Today I'm giving you 5 tips on what I have found useful for fashion blogging! I have been blogging for 3 years now and would love to share some insight!
I'm going to start right out and say my number one is...

1-Consistency!  Posting everyday or every other day sets up a relationship with your followers and makes blogging easier as you go along!

2- Have a theme on Instagram! My theme is soft pastels, lots of flowers, and feminine ensembles. Find out what your followers like and go with it!

3-Brainstorm what your want to talk about in this weeks blog posts! Saves time and makes your posts more enjoyable to write.

4-Thanking and commenting back on your posts! This one took me a while to do, your followers want a relationship with you and giving them love back will create just that!

5-Love what you do. Because if you don't it will be very obvious. If you put your whole heart into your Instagram and blog your followers will obviously see this and most likely come back for more!

My favorite cafe, they have the best rose and the perfect atmosphere. Last weekend we spent 3 hours here just talking and sipping wine. Talk about the perfect afternoon!

I wore this outfit to lunch and got so many compliments. I live in dresses and cardigans and this double layer white dress is probably my favorite. It's so delicate and can be dressed up or down. Another wonderful thing about it is the price tag.

The Bud Stop...you must get a bouquet of flowers here. They have all kinds of different flowers and some I've never seen before! Plus the ladies who work here are the sweetest things!

Thank you for your continued support, I'm so completely blown away by all the comments, emails and DM's! You all are seriously the best!

SF and a thank you note!

Hi again! Today I'm giving you ladies a little tour of my favorite spots in SF and a thank you letter to all of you!
One of my favorite things to do is walk around Pacific Heights neighborhood and take in all the charming homes. This is a side of San Francisco most people don't see, a slower side. A side where you wake up every morning and walk to your favorite coffee shop and sip on espressos all morning. So last weekend that's exactly what we did!

First stop was at Cafe Reveille, they have pink table tops so obviously we had to stop there. I had the Kale salad which was divine! And Matt (my love) had the burger. One thing that was so cool was we got to watch a Honda commercial being filmed right in front of us! It was so fun to watch the director and all the amazing cameras all while sipping on my mocha! Definitely recommend this cafe, there are some really amazing vegetarian options and is super cute!

A thank you note to all of my lovely friends(yes you are my friend!)
Last week my Instagram hit 11.1k which was so unbelievably cool! I never thought it would get this far and I'm so blessed. I don't have anyone to thank but you all that have supported me and loved me through my journey. I hope to continue bringing you inspiration while we both grow and figure out life together. I want to start to become more open with you about my personal struggles and maybe help someone out that is also struggling. I hope this blog becomes more than just pretty images but also a safe place where we can discuss deeper subjects.
Honestly thank you for all your love and support!
Much love!

24 hours in Napa

Last weekend my love and I headed to Napa. So today I'm giving you the low down on what to do and where to eat! When we arrived it was around 2pm we drove around just to take in the gorgeous views and stopped for a Jamba Juice (I'm obsessed) When we were driving we came across a gorgeous vineyard and decided to test out our drone! It was so much fun and we got some seriously gorgeous shots!

Next we hopped over to The Domaine Carneros Champagne Estate and explored a little! There was something about this place that made me feel like I transported to France. Of course France is high on my bucket list on places to travel so I was in complete heaven.
Definitely recommend this winery, it's so picturesque and has exquisite champagne!

I've always heard rave reviews of The Boon Fly Cafe so of course we had to test it out! I recommend you head over either right when they open or after 10:30! That's when the crowds aren't as bad. Also you must get the homemade donuts... life changing! After brunch we walked around downtown Napa and had such a lovely casual afternoon.

When you're in Napa you do a lot of eating and drinking! And there are some really amazing restaurants but the number one place you MUST do while in Napa is eat at Farm at The Carneros Inn. The food was unreal, my taste buds were blown away. For dessert get the chocolate mousse.

For a 24 hour trip we hit a lot of places that were high on my bucket list! I hope that helped, enjoy Napa!
Also let me know of your favorite places for my next trip!

finding inspiration...

Happy hump day ladies!! We're getting closer to the weekend which makes this girl very happy! The reason I love the weekends so much is because I can focus on what I really am passionate about, which is my blog! During the week I'm so busy and exhausted. The weekend is the perfect time to find inspiration, shoot outfits, brainstorm, and work on my new website (coming soon!). Today I'm going to talk about how I find inspiration!

~One way I find quick inspiration is Pinterest! Pinterest is such a great way to find inspo and you can find anything! From fashion to home decor to recipes!

~Another way is to take a day trip somewhere! Whether you like the ocean or the city. Taking some time for yourself or getting out of your routine is super helpful and allows your brain to focus on your scenery!

~Enjoy something you made in the past--a blog post, a video, a drawing or a project! Finding something you were proud of might spark something in you!

~Create a vision board! I have these all over my room. I like to cut out pictures from magazines and stick them on a little square of  cardboard (get it at Target, $5)

~ Immerse yourself in learning something new and allow yourself to forget about the limitations of time. For me this was blogging. When I first started I was terrified and didn't know if I could even accomplish my goal! But I'm so glad I did, it's one of my greatest joys.

Wrap dresses have become my go to dress. Its so comfortable and really looks so lovely on. The great thing about this particular dress is the price!

pink dress and a sun hat

Happy Monday!  Although I'm pretty sure nobody is quite happy on a Monday! Ha!  This past weekend my boyfriend and I went to Napa! I was super excited since I have just turned 21 so now I could wine taste! We went to two wineries but didn't wine taste. I'm not a huge drinker but I did have a glass of rose at dinner!
Since it was so warm I opted for a cotton shirt dress, it was so light and didn't stick to my body! (hate that!) I had found this dress in the back of my closet and had no idea when I got it! It ended up being so beyond perfect!

I love adventuring around cities and finding charming homes and shops. It's one of my favorite things to do, I mean how cute is this yellow beauty! I highly suggest going to downtown Napa and the riverfront! So completely stunning!

I found some similar options below! Happy shopping!

5 tips on finding your true authentic style

Hello lovelies! Today I will be talking about how I found my true authentic style and how you can too! I've given you 5 tips below! Enjoy!
Finding my personal style took me years to try to figure out. All throughout my childhood I would be in the most girly floral dresses with my hair done up with a bow and pretty shoes. I grew out of that trend when I was entered middle school. Those three years I would always be in sweats and a jacket. I was extremely shy and didn't want to stand out. Then in high school I started experimenting. One day I would be preppy then I would go more "goth" wearing a leather skirt, black converse and a rock band t-shirt. I was literally all over the place but during my senior year I found what I felt confident in. Which was ultra feminine dresses, sometimes preppy but always classy.

Today I will be talking about how to find YOUR true style!

While mastering your true style may take years, I've come up with a few tips on how to help you find your true style!

1. Always wear something that makes you feel like a million bucks. Whether that's a beautiful floral dress, jeans and a cute tee or maybe even all black! Confidence is key!

2. Wear something that makes sense for your life. Example: Don't buy a $3,000 Gucci ball gown if you live near the beach. What makes sense for MY life is lots of dresses and feminine accessories! Living in Cali the weather is pretty much always warm so a sun dress is always my first choice.

3. Trust your instincts and be authentic. The most important thing about building your style is to be true to yourself. Don't focus on the size or who the designer is because this will only hinder your creativity! Own your style, be proud of YOU and embrace who you are and who you want to be.

4. Seek inspiration. Find fashion bloggers or make a Pinterest board of styles that you truly love and make you excited about getting dressed. When you feel comfortable you look and feel your best!

5. Clean up and Clean out. Take a look inside your closet and either toss or sell items that you either haven't worn or don't like. A good closet cleanse will allow you to feel ready to become the true you, in terms of personal style.

Last weekend after hitting up the farmers market, I changed into this floral wrap dress to walk around the Pacific Heights neighborhood in San Fransisco. The gorgeous and beautifully designed homes made the perfect backdrop. As my love for wrap dresses has grown so has my collection of them! This dress accents any body type and is perfect for any occasion!

Thank you for your endless amounts of love and support!
